I just bought some Co-Op Hot Sauce from a friend at work and it's prett damn tasty!
Not only is it tasty, it's made by kids from their abandoned lot garden in Humboldt Park!
-------------
The hot sauce was made from an abandoned city lot, which we took over,
and turned into a vegetable garden. The garden now supplies a couple
local businesses, and has even started selling the hot sauce for use in
local restaurants.
you can find out more about other programs here: http://www.coopimage.org/
also check out the video the kids made. a cooking show was also
produced as a result from these vegetable gardens. i believe this was
the pilot that aired on FiTV and CAN-TV. production of the show not
only teaches kids about healthy eating and nutrition, but also some
industry-standard video production techniques. the kids themselves were
involved in the production, shooting, and editing of the show.

another program worth mentioning is "Co-op Clothing Tech", a
silk-screening company owned and run by the kids themselves. its pretty
neat that these kids have a sense that they're in control of their
financial future, and there's more opportunities for them other than
running the streets of chicago.
so if you need any t-shirts printed, give them a try.
